Torn with Columns

To aid reading whilst dashing through the supermarket, this happy shopper has organised their list into columns. All the staples are here for a large weekly shop.

This person is organised as they have their columns but they also take a pen with them to check items off as they go.

Cheeky Girls

A4 punched and lined paper, folded in half. Vegetarian list which raises a few questions.

Is this person going to buy aloe veras as in multiple plants of that kind or is this something else? Why are they under the section marked green veg (the same could be asked of fruits).

What is defended juice? Could be this https://purearth.co.uk/product/defence-juice-cleanse/

This list has another side to it. On the reverse are names of musical artists. Are these team names, categories, a play list? Further more, do the Cheeky Girls fit into this group?

Mouse Treats

Very nice neat handwriting here, lots of items fitted on a folded A5 spiral bound piece of paper.

Likely a mother of children at school age, with pets. Mouse treats, “kid’s” crisps/snacks, cookie dough, lollies.

Meat captured in a separate area of the list in large parenthesis. Chicken, prawns, muscles, bacon, ribs, sausages.

Orzo pasta suggests a cook in the house.

P&G

This appears to be shopping for two people in two hands with two pens.

They are working age dog and cat owners with no children.

On P’s side of the list we have chicken, weetabix, French fries, custard creams, cokes and tissues. On G’s side we have duck in plum, chick/mushrooms, cold puds (eclair), trifle, lattes, cookies and chocs.

Some items have been crossed off, some have been circled. Some items in capitals and some in lower case. Notice the change of pen between hand wash and pads/pants.

Choc Twist

Choc Twist

Donated by a generous benefactor, this list has 11 items excluding mysterious line 8 which has been crossed out.  I believe it may say ‘ice cre’ but I may be mistaken.

I would suggest the list was written in three sections at different times.  Down to Evian is all capitalised, then comes the crossed off item in what looks to be lower case and then there is the third contribution in different pen.

This list is very Summery, you will not see these items listed in a few months time (unless you are in the southern hemisphere).

Whisky + American

This shopping list owner likes detail, 2 bananas precisely, “Kellogg’s”cereal rather than just cereal, “Ryvita Rye Crispbreads” when Ryvita would have sufficed.  In fact I think this list was written for somebody else to do the shopping, the numbers and brands are instructions.

Does whisky and American mean whisky and whiskey?

Tomatoes, Mediterranean vegetables x 1, strawberries, apples, bananas x 2, salmon x 1, sweet potatoes, milk, small red milk, bleach, rinse aid, kitchen rolls, bread, lime cordial, still water, Kellogg’s fruit and fibre (purple pack), Ryvita rye crispbreads, whisky + American.

Sweet Pots x 2

Sweet Potatoes, strawberries 450, double cream, meringue nests, white vinegar,  cannellini beans.

The 450, probably meaning grammes, after strawberries suggests a recipe called for a certain quantity. Eton mess maybe?

Note the NHS note paper, this person probably works for the NHS.

Jammie Dodgers

Bread, milk, butter, cheese, eggs, frubes, Jammie dodgers, oil, pasta, meat balls, crisps, mint jelly, tea bags, pot, carrots etc, strawberries, fairy, softener, persil, dishwasher tabs.

This list was written in at least two sessions with different pens. Good to see the household cleaning product kept separate from the food stuffs.

Pasta and meatballs on the menu this week.
