Hmm, what do I need:
- Elm Lea
- Drain Unblocker
Right, let’s go shopping.
A simple list appropriate for the time of year when it is the school Summer holiday but the Autumn term comes inevitably closer.
I would suggest that the owner of this list intended to visit one of the larger super markets which sells clothes, household goods and food. Alternatively this was a list for a visit to ‘town’ where multiple shops were to be visited. I don’t see many of those lists.
Whoever the owner is, she has a sweet tooth and so do her friends. The owner is female.
Interesting curve on the top of the capitalised letter F. Normally this is more of a 90 degree angle.
1 Milk is added twice. Is this 2 Milks or did the person forgot that by the time they reached item 9 that item 2 was milk?
Other questions include, what is Cat – met?
Also, what is A/M?
This is not a main shop but rather a mid sized top up visit to the supermarket. There was Scampi, chips and peas on the menu that night for sure.
Donated by a generous benefactor, this list has 11 items excluding mysterious line 8 which has been crossed out. I believe it may say ‘ice cre’ but I may be mistaken.
I would suggest the list was written in three sections at different times. Down to Evian is all capitalised, then comes the crossed off item in what looks to be lower case and then there is the third contribution in different pen.
This list is very Summery, you will not see these items listed in a few months time (unless you are in the southern hemisphere).
Donated on 20th August 2017
Waiting on loaction
The following list has been supplied by Southampton Old Lady. My apologies for not publishing sooner. She kindly says:
“Not many lists around at the moment but I found this one for your blog, in a Southampton street. Located between two big hospitals. As training hospitals there are many medics and student medics as my guess that this is from a nurse or training medic.
On one side of the list the shopper is going to five different places
1. Drop off prescriptions
2. Superdrug Pantenne (crossed out) shampoo, good conditioner
3. – Ndoes (Indian name might be collect for or a brand name)
4. Just – Mango!
5. Aldi – ricotta, spinach, mango, pesto, sweet soya
Next it could read Back desk of apt. (apartment)
or it could be Book deck of apt. (appointments) followed by a square.
On the other side of the list is:
Southampton Old Lady”
