Was the trifle ever completed? Only the sponge, presumably sponge fingers, (?) have been ticked. Oh dear…

trifle was abandoned mid-list, as it would have taken too long to prepare, but a box of Bird’s trifle substituted

I’ve never called it that ! Plus I had already written juice, meaning fresh orange juice but then changed my mind.
